The soy-based inks we use are made from renewable resources: plantsnot petroleum! Soy inks degrade more quickly and completely than petroleum-based inks, so they're less harmful to the environment.
Our chlorine-free processing uses a peroxide-based method for whitening paper pulp. The absence of harsh, toxic chlorine bleaches means that substantially fewer harmful compounds are released into the environment.
FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certification means that paper comes from well-managed forests, where biodiversity and endangered species are protected, human rights are respected, and hazardous chemicals are not used. The paper in each Green Inspired product is FSC-certified, and comes from mixed sources.
