We believe in the power of great ideas - and so does the team at Fireworks Gallery.
Fireworks is a colorful, whimsical gift store in Seattle that's packed with fun and funky gifts for everyone on your list. Novel hand-picked items reflect chief Firecracker and owner Michele Manasse's motto: Celebrating Art in Life.
"The medium is not as important as its ability to be functional and entertaining," Manasse is fond of saying. That's why you'll find unusual gifts such as tableware with smiley faces, ladybug raincoats, trout staplers, an Empire State license plate purse and a dinner clock featuring a yellow tabby catching a rainbow trout.
"Michele has this wonderful, eclectic eye and is very good at picking out trends before anyone else," says Chereyl Spink, manager of sales, service and training for Fireworks. "And a lot of what we carry is inspirational, which is where Compendium's books come in."
Fireworks, which now boasts five locations in the Seattle area, carries several Compendium titles, including She, Gratitude, Little Things and the Create journal, among others. The quote books are often tucked into colorful displays of jewelry, kitchenware, children's toys and inspirational office gifts.
"Often we'll hear a customer calling over a friend and saying 'Oh, Come look at this quote,' and you can really tell that Compendium's books touch people," Spink says. "The books are very much a part of our color scheme, and are a nice fit with our displays."
They are "the kind of books that inspire; make you smile and make you think," says Spink.
And so is a visit to Fireworks Gallery. It's a colorful gift store that customers visit for a pick-me-up when they're having a down day, and a place that's sure to put a smile on your face.
