We’ll be at NY NOW August 16–19 at Booth #7239. Come say hello!
Please take a moment to check out our image requirements and tips for taking the best photographs before filling in your information and uploading your art. Don’t forget the Submission Agreement, and then click “All Done!” when you’re finished!
Please send an image of the book cover and one image of an interior spread from your book of choice. Each child may send artwork for multiple books, but we will need a separate submission form for each book title (i.e. each book and its corresponding images will each need their own completed submission form).
Unfortunately, we cannot accept hard copy photographs. Any photographs sent to Compendium, Inc. will not be returned.
Place the book on a flat surface. You may want to use binder clips to keep the edges of the pages from popping up when taking pictures of the interior pages. Try to be sure there aren’t any shadows and avoid using your camera’s flash; indirect daylight or diffused interior lighting is best. Shooting from above and aiming the camera straight down, fill up your viewer frame with as much of the book as possible. Snap away!
If you have access to a large scanner, it may be easier to simply scan the book cover and interior pages instead of taking a picture.
